Ziad Sarkis is the managing director and founder of Ariska Capital, specializing in investment consulting. He advises allocators on strategic asset allocations and private capital fund due diligence as well as addressing financial and operational issues related to portfolio companies.
In addition to his role at Ariska Capital, Ziad is currently a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he continues his engagement with the Harris Alternative Investments Program. Previously, Ziad served as the Director of Financial Research at the same program, where he focused on researching and fostering connections with allocators and private capital fund managers globally.
Furthermore, Ziad is an experienced public speaker who has contributed to over ninety alternative investment conferences worldwide, across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. His contributions included keynotes, panel discussions, and moderating roles, where he shared his knowledge on asset allocation and alternative investment funds. Additionally, he founded the Global Allocators Network, which connects more than 150 Limited Partners (LPs) around the globe. Ziad also inaugurated Wharton's first Global Allocators Summit in May 2023.
Ziad lectures in the executive education program at Wharton, focusing on private equity and venture capital. His classes cater to executives and investment professionals, covering asset allocation and alternative investment fund topics.
Ziad's background includes investment and advisory positions at Zouk Capital, PwC, and Deloitte, advising allocators and fund managers in the US and EMEA regions. He also served on advisory boards and is currently part of the advisory board of Balentic, a Danish fintech company.
Ziad holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy summa cum laude from Arizona State University. He is a certified public accountant in the United States and is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
